Meningococcal Outbreak
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) continues to lead the response to the meningococcal outbreak in the Canterbury area.
Antibiotics are being handed out to eligible people at four sites in Canterbury and Thanet as a preventative measure. Further information is available on the Kent and Medway ICB website
A small, targeted vaccination programme has today been announced by the Health Secretary, starting with students resident at Canterbury campus halls of residence at the University of Kent in the coming days. More details should be available in due course.
