Out of Hours
Enhanced Access
You can now see a GP or other health worker outside normal hours.
These appointments are for all West Kent patients, no matter where you live. You can be seen 7 days a week, all year round. You may not see your usual GP and might need to go to a different surgery.
Appointments may take place:
- At your usual surgery
- At another local GP surgery
- At ar local NHS service, like a GP Hub
Appointment Times:
- Weekday evenings (Monday to Friday): 6:30pm to 8pm at a local surgery
- Saturdays: 8am to 12pm at a local surgery
- Sundays and Bank Holidays: 9am to 12:30pm in Tonbridge or Maidstone
To book, call your surgery during normal hours. You can’t call on weekends, bank holidays, or after 6:30pm on weekdays.
Minor Injuries
We can help with small injuries like cuts and sprains.
Call us first on 01622 686 963 before going to A&E. We may be able to help and save you a long wait.
Life Threatening
Call 999 or go to A&E now if:
- you or someone you know needs immediate help
- you have seriously harmed yourself – for example, by taking a drug overdose
A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a medical emergency.
Sevenoaks Urgent Treatment Center
This is based at Sevenoaks Hospital is Open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week 365 days a year and has one GP providing up to 32 appointment slots per day.
The service is suitable for patients for same-day appointments that cannot wait 24 hours to be seen.
You can be seen by a GP at the Sevenoaks Urgent Treatment Center by
- Contacting NHS 111 and ask to book an appointment
- or you can attend the UTC as a walk-in patient
Urgent But Not Life Threatening
Visit an urgent care centre if:
- You have an urgent medical issue requiring on the day attention
Non-urgent
Use NHS 111 if:
- You need help now, but it’s not an emergency
There will be someone to provide you with advice and to direct you to a clinician if it is necessary.
